Our Mission

Building Confidence, Developing Skills, and Achieving Success

According to research girls’ confidence between the ages of 8 and 14 drops by 30 percent. The author of the confidence code, authors of The Confidence Code for Girls found that today’s girls often experience low levels of confidence. Between their tween and teen years, girls’ confidence that other people like them fall from 71 percent to 38 percent — a 46 percent drop. An OECD study also revealed that girls around the world lag behind boys in math and science, because of a lack of confidence. Confidence has a role to play in the girl’s abilities in school. According to research, only 38% of women hold top management positions despite the fact that more than half of the workforce are women.

Girls Can Dream Big 2 intends to modify these statistics by empowering girls and young women with confidence and leadership development skills and programs to improve their abilities in school. Through confidence, and communication including public speaking, competence, and leadership development programs, the girls and young women will be better equipped to do well in school all around including STEM-related disciplines. The girls who come through our programs will not only dream big but will be equipped with the right skills to help them succeed in life.
